  • Retired 39 years of service
  • Undercover narcotics
  • Special investigator for County Executive
  • Assignments included, patrol, traffic, Supervisor Chemical Test for Alcohol Unit, crash reconstruction, DWI detection, producing TV safety spots, teaching traffic safety in county schools and writing departmental policy.

Writing Experience:

  • Freelance writer, Baltimore Evening Sun, Morning Sun and Sunday Sun Magazine
  • Baltimore News American – Covered sports, golf, book reviews and wrote a crime column.
  • Wrote, produced, and directed “Wheels of Death,” traffic safety video.
  • Wrote original draft of “My Child is Missing,” narrated by John Walsh, America’s Most Wanted.”
  • Wrote original story and co-wrote screenplay for the Hollywood motion picture “Misfit Patrol” which premiered at the Senator Theater.
  • Co-Produced “50th Anniversary Special of the Christmas classic “It’s a “Wonderful Life,” featuring surviving cast members and the late Frank Capra, Jr. (For additional information Google Charles “Buzz” Beeler.
  • Wrote produced and directed television commercials for traffic safety

  • Departmental Commendation for undercover narcotics work 1968
  • American Legion Award for undercover narcotics work, 1968
  • Unit citation for work during Amtrak

  • Unit citation for apprehending DWI drivers, circa 1990
  • Departmental Commendation for work on having Baltimore County Police Nationally Accredited, circa 1992
  • Chief’s Award for winning National Association of Chief’s of Police along with Officer Lee Ches, by designing, writing and implementing a Baltimore County Traffic Safety Campaign, 1995
  • Received Gold 13 Award for Community Service from WJZ TV's Richard Sherr circia 1982
